Cherie Dawn Chandler (formerly Aldrich) was born in Salisbury, NC. She has lived in various places in North Carolina. Currently, Cherie (pronounced Sherry) completed her graduate studies in the field of education administration at North Carolina State University. She is happily married to Donnelle Eric Chandler as well as being a devoted mother of four beautiful children: Cameron, Taylor, Dawnelle, and her recent addition, Danielle.
Mrs. Chandler has a bachelors in Elementary Education and a masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. For ten years, she has taught different grade levels and subjects such as 4th grade, 3rd grade, Reading Recovery, College Reading, and high school English and Reading. In 2006, Mrs. Chandler received her National Board Certification in English/Language Arts- Adolescent to Young Adult. That same year, she chose to leave teaching behind to enroll in the NC Principal Fellows program in pursuit of becoming a school principal. She is currently an Assistant Principal in a NC school district.
After 33 years of life, Cherie discovered she had a talent to encourage women. She was given a vision as a result of interacting with different women to write a book about being beautiful. In this book, she gives account to all the obstacles she overcame from childhood to adulthood including the lessons learned from each metormorphosis stage of her life. She credits God for providing her the vision and enduring those experiences to share her victories. She is also in the process of conducting "The Beautiful Transformation" seminars at various locations such as colleges, high schools, religious gatherings, women's seminars, and other functions.
In the future, Cherie hopes to spread the message of beauty to women worldwide. Although she has a Christian background, she is willing to empower women from ALL diversities to recognize their beauty to love themselves.
